Private Lessons
I accept students of all ages and levels into my lessons studio on a rolling basis, depending on availability. My students have a wide variety of interests and skills, with several going on to study music in college and becoming active performers.
As an improvising musician, my educational approach is to help students set goals and provide a flexible structure in which they can creatively improve and find new inspirations. I am available for one-off lessons if a clear topic or question to explore is requested, but give priority to students interested in meeting regularly. I teach in person lessons from my studio in Manhattan. To schedule a lesson with me or ask any questions, please use the contact form.
TOWNSEND HARRIS CHAMBER MUSIC PRoJECT
Ensemble Coach
The Chamber Music Project is an ensemble from Townsend Harris High School in Queens, New York. The project explores both landmark classical compositions and receives new works written specifically for the ensemble's eclectic orchestration. In their first year, the ensemble was invited to open for the 2023 Queensborough Arts Festival and also released an EP recorded at the NYU Clive Davis institute of recorded music. With artistic excellence, the group defies the pre-requisite of traditional ensemble formats — proving the possibility and fruitfulness of experiencing the rich world of chamber music at the high school level.
