Written for the Towsnsend Harris Chamber Music Project (2023)

Joy and Its Companions includes three movements that are available as stand-alone works.

I. Rest

II. Lament

III. Shatter

This piece serves as a foil to joy and what we typically associate with the emotion. The themes and melodies are a meditation and reflection on accepting certain feelings or actions we naturally avoid. Descriptions for the movements can be found on their dedicated pages.
